Photography without color. Without compromise.

Umbrixlens is an invite-only portrait photography community. One photo every 48 hours. Black & white only. No exceptions.

The three rules

01 — Portrait only. 4:5 ratio. Nothing else.

Every frame is vertical, every frame is a face. The format is the discipline.

02 — Black & white only. No filters. No color. Ever.

Light and shadow are the only tools. Color is never an option.

03 — One photograph every 48 hours.

Scarcity sharpens intent. Make each upload count.

Because the quality of your camera matters.

Why I built this.

Social media did not kill photography. We did. We chose convenience over craft. Filters over truth. Volume over patience. Umbrixlens is a small rebellion. One portrait. Every 48 hours. No color. No compromise.
